Notes:
Summary 1. In the aqueous of the anterior chamber (VK) of the normal dog's eye noradrenaline (NA) is not present; or it occurs in such small quantity below 10−8 g (limit of used method to indicate NA). 2. The same is valid inspite of maximal mydriasis produced by ATP-stimulation (ATP-solution I injected into the orbita). 3. Simultaneous stimulation of the autonomic nerves of the eye produces an antagonistic effect on the receptors of the iris muscles. 4. The mechanism of the development of mydriasis after ATP-stimulation is understandable due to the relaxation-factor (Erschlaffungsfactor EF) on the sphincter-muscle after stimulation of the autonomic nerves.
