Fluorine Exchange Reactions in Metaltrifluorophosphine Complexes, V. Synthesis of trialkoxyphosphine and Fluoroalkoxyphosphine Complexes of Nickel(0) by Periphery Reactions with AlkoxidesThe fluorine atoms of trifluorophosphine complexes of nickel(0) can be partially substituted by alkoxy ions to yield homogeneous (3, 4) and heterogeneous (7-10) fluoroalkoxyphosphine complexes. Trialkoxyphosphine complexes Ni{P(OR)3}4 (2, 5) are similarly prepared by reaction of Ni(PX3)4 with RO- (X — F: R — CH3; X — Cl: R — CH3 and C2H5). The degree of F-substitution is shown to be dependent on the structure of the trifluorophosphine complex and on the base, thus revealing the importance of electronic and steric factors. N. m. r., mass, and i.r.spectra of the newly prepared compounds are discussed.
Notes:
