On Information Concerning the Phosphates VIIThe introduction of fluorine into the finished Thomas phosphate up to a content of 4% does not decrease the solubility and the fertilising action of the phosphoric acid. Fluorapatite is not formed. On the other hand, the addition of fluorine will considerably impair the solubility and the vegetative effect of the phosphoric acid in dicalcium phosphate as the result of the formation of fluorapatite.

Die Einführung von Fluor in das fertige Thomasphosphat bis zu einem Gehalt von 4% vermindert Löslichkeit und Düngewirkung der Phosphorsäure nicht. Fluorapatit wird nicht gebildet. Dagegen werden Löslichkeit und vegetative Wirkung der Phosphorsäure im Dicalciumphosphat durch Fluor-Zugabe infolge Bildung von Fluorpatit stark beeinträchtigt.
