Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Bei 7 Patienten (Durchschnittsalter 42 Jahre) mit Rhythmusstörungen verschiedener Form wurden mit Hilfe der Myokardszintigraphie Verteilungsstörungen der myokardialen Perfusion bei im Koronarogramm unauffälligen extramuralen Koronargefäßen nachgewiesen.
Notes: Summary In 7 patients with arrhythmias of various origin the myocardial scintigram displayed either a diffuse or circumscript defect of the perfusion. The coronary arteriogram was normal in all patients. The localized defect of the perfusion in 2 patients was in the region of the upper part of the interventricular septum. Both had a left bundle brunch block. A correlation between the perfusion defect and the electrophysiological abnormality seems probable. The perfusion defect in one of the patients is most probably caused by a previous myocarditis followed by fibrous changes. In the other 6 patients the cause for the perfusion defect is not obvious. A history of myocarditis is missing. The presence of “small vessel disease” in those patients has however to be considered. Our results point to the relation between an abnormality of the microcirculation and arrhythmias in younger patients.

Notes: Summary From April to July 1967, 24339 radiophotofluorographs were performed in Stuttgart-Ost. Among them 12.3 ± 0.21% showed intrapulmonary and pleural residuals, without need of supervision (male: 13.2 ± 0.11%; female: 11.8 ± 0.26%). The rate of such lesions is much higher in the old age group than in the younger age group. There is reasonable evidence that the bearers of such X-ray shadows form a special risk group which is easily to separate from the whole population. Epidemetric models should regard the risk of developping active tuberculosis of the above mentioned group.

Notes: Lateral inhomogeneities generate fluctuations in the traveltime of seismic waves. By evaluation of these traveltime fluctuations from different source and receiver positions, lateral inhomogeneities can be located using a pseudo inverse matrix method (Aki, Christoffersson and Husebye 1977). The formulation of the problem is possible for transmitted waves as well as for reflected and refracted waves. In reflection seismics this method is of importance, if no reflections from the inhomogeneities themselves, but only reflections from lower boundaries can be observed. The basic assumptions for the mathematical formulation are (1) the average velocities and depths of the reflecting horizons are known already from standard processing methods, and (2) the traveltime residuals are due to lateral velocity changes between different reflectors or between reflectors and the surface. The area of the earth to be considered is divided into layers and the layers into rectangular blocks. The parallel displacement of a ray after passing a disturbed block is neglected, only the traveltime residual is taken into account. In this paper the method and its application to data obtained with two-dimensional models are described.

Notes: An apparatus has been constructed to analyze the particle flux of positive ions on surfaces from dry etching reactors. The particle flux can emerge from a great variety of reactive ion etching systems or from reactive ion beam etching sources. The particle beam passes through a small orifice with a diameter of 100 μm. A differentially pumped quadrupole mass spectrometer with a specially designed ion transfer optics performs the energy analysis of positive ions. The energy range can be varied between 0 and 500 eV with a resolution of 1%. The angular distribution measurements of the particle flux are carried out varying the inclination of the mass analyzer by ±20° with the vertex lying centrally in the sampling orifice. The angular resolution is about 1°. Rotation of the source on top of the apparatus and translation over ±10 cm in xy direction and 15 cm in z direction perpendicular to it is provided in order to assure fully local resolution. The electrical properties of the orifice-ion optics system is discussed with respect to their influence on ion trajectories. The purpose of the apparatus is to provide data on particle fluxes relevant for microelectronic processing.
