Summary The release of fructosediphosphate aldolase (EC 4.1.2.13) in Coxsackie virusinfected FL cell cultures is influenced by cell density, virus concentration, pH and serum concentration of the incubation medium. At a cell input density of 2 × 105 cells/ml the activity of the released enzyme is proportional to the logarithm of virus concentration. At pH 7.5 to 8.0 and serum concentrations of the incubation medium between 0 and 1 per cent enzyme release of virus-infected cells, compared with that of uninfected cells, reaches maximum values.

Zusammenfassung Die Freisetzung von Fructosediphosphataldolase (EC 4.1.2.13) in Coxsackievirus-infizierten FL-Zellkulturen wird durch Zelldichte, Viruskonzentration, pH-Wert und Serumgehalt des Inkubationsmediums entscheidend beeinflußt. Bei konstanter Zelleinsaat von 2 × 105 Zellen/ml ist die Aktivität des freigesetzten Enzyms dem Logarithmus der Viruskonzentration proportional. Die Enzymfreisetzung virusinfizierter Zellen erreicht im Verhältnis zur Enzymfreisetzung nichtinfizierter Zellen maximale Werte im pH-Bereich von 7,5 bis 8,0 und bei einem Serumgehalt des Inkubationsmediums zwischen 0 und 1%. Höhere Serumkonzentrationen hemmen die Freisetzung zellulärer Enzyme.
