A review is given about the synthesis of elastomers from diisocyanates and long chain nonpolar glycols which has led to commercially valuable products, the so-called Vulkollans. From this group a new material, the so-called Hard Vulkollan, has been developed, a hard material of high strength showing great elasticity under the influence of impacts and quick vibration.

Es wird zusammenfassend über den Aufbau von Elastomeren aus Diisocyanaten und langkettigen unpolaren Glykolen berichtet, die zu technisch wertvollen Produkten, den sogenannten Vulkollanen, geführt haben. Aus dieser Gruppe wurde ein neuartiger Werkstoff, das sogenannte Hartvulkollan, entwickelt, ein hartes Material hoher Festigkeit, das sich Stößen und schnellen Schwingungen gegenüber hochelastisch verhält.
