The enthalpy of formation of liquid CSe2 has been found to be at +25.0°C \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ \Delta {\rm H}_{\rm f}^{\rm 0} ({\rm CSe}_{\rm 2},\,{\rm liquid}{\rm) = + 53.3} \pm {\rm 1.1}\,{\rm kcal/Mol}{\rm .} $$\end{document} The vapour pressures of CSe2 have been measured between -54°C and +64°C (data see „Inhaltsübersicht“).The thermodynamics of crystalline and liquid CSe2 have been calorimetrically determined by the drop method between -195°C and +55°C. The standard entropy, the heats and entropies of fusion, sublimation and evaporation, and the temperature dependence of the specific heat of CSe2 are given (data see „Inhaltsübersicht“).The thermodynamics of the formation of CSe2 are discussed.

Die Bildungsenthalpie von flüssigem CSe2 wurde bei +25,0°C bombencalorimetrisch bestimmt: \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ \Delta {\rm H}_{\rm f}^{\rm 0} ({\rm CSe}_{\rm 2},\,{\rm fl}{\rm .) = + 53,3} \pm {\rm 1,1}\,{\rm kcal/Mol}{\rm .} $$\end{document} Die über festem und flüssigem CSe2 zwischen -54°C und +64°C direkt bzw. isoteniskopisch bestimmten Dampfdrucke lassen sich durch die Beziehungen (p in Torr; T in °K) \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ \begin{array}{l} {\rm log}\,{\rm p}_{{\rm CSe}_{\rm 2} ({\rm fest})} = 9,790 - 2,418 \cdot 10^3 \,{\rm T}^{{\rm - 1}} \,{\rm und} \\ \,\,{\rm log}\,{\rm p}_{{\rm CSe}_{\rm 2} ({\rm fl}{\rm .})} = 25,745 - 2,7016 \cdot 10^3 \,{\rm T}^{{\rm - 1}} - 6,2345 \cdot \,{\rm log}\,{\rm T} \ \end{array} $$\end{document} beschreiben.Nach der „drop“-Methode wurden die Wärmeinhalte von CSe2 zwischen -195°C und +55°C ermittelt; für die spezifischen Wärmen gelten die Temperaturfunktionen (Cp in cal/Grad · Mol; T in °K): \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ \begin{array}{l} {\rm C}_{{\rm P(CSe}_{\rm 2},\,{\rm fest)}}^{\rm T} = 12,36 + 1,344 \cdot 10^{- 2} \,{\rm T - 7,5} \cdot {\rm 10}^{\rm 3} \,{\rm T}^{{\rm - 2}} \,{\rm und} \\ \,\,{\rm C}_{{\rm P(CSe}_{\rm 2},\,{\rm fl}{\rm .)}}^{\rm T} = 16,42 + 0,0159 \cdot {\rm T}{\rm .} \\ \end{array} $$\end{document} Folgende thermodynamischen Kenngrößen des CSe2 wurden erhalten: Normalentropien S298,20(CSe2, fl.) = 39,5 ± 2,2 cal/Grad · Mol und S298,20(CSe2, Gas) = 61,1 ± 2,3 cal/Grad · Mol; Schmelzwärme ΔHF = 1,52 ± 0,02 kcal/Mol und Schmelzentropie ΔSF = 6,6 ± 0,1 cal/Grad · Mol am Schmelzpunkt (-42,7°C); Sublimationsenthalpie ΔHS = 11,06 ± 0,05 kcal/Mol; Temperaturfunktion der Verdampfungsenthalpie ΔHE(fl.) = 12,357 - 12,382 · 10-3 T (in kcal/Mol); Verdampfungsentropie ΔSE = 18,7 ± 0,3 cal/Grad · Mol am Siedepunkt (+125,0°C).Die thermodynamischen Effekte bei der Bildung von CSe2 aus den Elementen bzw. aus Selen und Dichlormethan werden diskutiert.
