    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Ein Radioimmunoassay zur Bestimmung von Serum-Myoglobin (SMb) wird vorgestellt. Bei 50 gesunden Probanden beträgt der Meßwertbereich 0–90 ng/ml. Serielle Bestimmungen an 10 Patienten mit akutem Myokardinfarkt beziehungsweise Angina pectoris (AP) zeigen, daß SMb bei Myokardinfarkt vor CK und CK-MB pathologische Werte erreicht (im Mittel 250±95 ng/ml bei stationärer Aufnahme 3,3±1,4 h nach AP-Beginn). Die gleichzeitig bestimmte NAC-aktivierte CK liegt zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch im Normbereich und erreicht pathologische Werte erst 6,2±1,9 h nach Schmerzbeginn. Der Peak des Serum-Myoglobins liegt mit 506±194 ng/ml 8,8±2,8 h, der der CK mit 905±475 mU/ml 20,0±7,8 h nach Anginabeginn. CK-MB und CK unterscheiden sich im zeitlichen Verlauf nur unwesentlich. Ein Patient mit ausgeprägter AP hat bei sonst unauffälligem Enzymmuster pathologisch erhöhte SMb-Werte. Methodische und klinische Ergebnisse werden diskutiert.
    Notes: Summary A radioimmunoassay was developed to determine serum myoglobin (SMb). 50 healthy persons showed values between 0 and 90 ng/ml. Serial tests of 10 patients following acute myocardial infarction or during angina pectoris (AP) indicated that SMb reached pathological values before CK and CK-MB (average 250±95 ng/ml at the time of hospitalisation which corresponds to 3.3±1.4 h after beginning of angina pectoris). At hospitalisation the simultaneously determined CK was within normal limits and reached pathological values only 6.2±1.9 h after the onset of angina. Maximum of SMb was 506±194 ng/ml occurring 8.8±2.8 h after the beginning of AP, maximum of CK was 905±475 mU/ml occurring 20.0±7.8 h after AP. CK-MB and CK differed only slightly in their time course. One patient with severe AP had pathologically increased SMb values whilst all other enzymes were completely normal. Methodical and clinical results are discussed.

    Notes: Abstract With the neutron interferometer, measurements of the coherent neutron scattering lengths by various gases have been performed. We get the following numbers for the bound coherent scattering lengths for atoms (in fm):b c (H) =−3.64(3),b c (D)=6.55(8),b c (He−3)=5.74(7),b c (He)=3.26(3),b c (N)=9.30(8),b c (O)=5.83(5),b c (Ne) =4.63(4),b c (Ar)=2.07(2),b c (Kr)=7.52(6),b c (Xe)=4.69(4). In some cases greater accuracy is achieved in comparison with recommended values from the literature. The absolute values for hydrogen and deuterium measured with gaseous samples, are about 2% smaller than the values measured with liquids and other reference values.

    Notes: Abstract One of the main problems in the theory of orthogonal polynomials in several variables is the determination of partial differential equations which have the given polynomials as their solutions. In this note, we consider partial differential equations which are two-dimensional generalizations of the classical differential equation for the Chebyshev polynomials in one variable and we will give conditions for its polynomial solutions. In addition, we will be able to determine all polynomials of a given class which are solutions of the partial differential equation under consideration. In the last section, we establish a connection between the different polynomial solutions.

    Description / Table of Contents: On the corrosion of binary CuAl alloys in sulfuric acidThe corrosion of binary CuAl-Alloys with Al-concentrations up to 16.5 w/o was investigated after different heat treatments in 1N sulfuric acid at 25°C. The corrosion behaviour of the various phases was characterized by potentiodynamic polarization curves and by long term potentiostatic tests combined with metallographic investigations of corroded electrodes. Within a limited potential range the results confirm the excellent corrosion resistance of the α-phase and the effect of dealuminization of all other phases. The origin of these differences in corrosion behaviour is discussed.
    Notes: Bei 25°C wurde in 1N Schwefelsäure die Korrosion binärer Al-Legierungen mit Al-Konzentrationen bis zu 16,5 Gew. % und unterschiedlicher Wärmebehandlung untersucht. Das Korrosionsverhalten der einzelnen Phasen wurde durch potentiokinetische Stromspannungskurven und durch potentiostatische Dauerpolarisationsversuche charakterisiert, die durch metallographische Untersuchungen an korrodierten Elektroden ergänzt wurden. Innerhalb eines begrenzten Potentialbereichs wurde die ausgezeichnete Korrosionsbeständigkeit der α-Phase und das Auftreten von Entaluminierung in allen übrigen Phasen bestätigt. Die Ursachen für diese Unterschiede im Korrosionsverhalten werden diskutiert.

    Description / Table of Contents: Metallographic and electrochemical investigations into intercrystalline corrosion of AlMg 9,56 wrought alloyThe intercrystalline corrosion has been studied with a 50% cold worked AlMg9,56 wrought alloy in 1 N sodium chloride solution; the metal has been used in various heat treatment states. Electron transmission photographs were made of the grain boundary precipitates formed by heat treatment. The electrochemical behaviour was studied by potentiostatic and galvanostatic methods. The corrosion behaviour of a heterogeneous alloy having a high proportion of intermetallic AlMg ß-equilibrium phase was compared with the behaviour of heat treated specimens of the alloy. The current potential curve could be traced for the ß-equilibrium phase. Indications were found of two different rate controlling and potential dependent reactions for the dissolution of the ß-equilibrium phase and of the grain boundary precipitates of the heat treated wrought alloy. In the course of heat treatment two different typs of precipitates are found which show different corrosion behaviour. After a short time heat treatment the grain boundaries are covered with continuous precipitates of unknown composition. After extended precipitation coagulation takes place which results in isolated globulites of the intermetallic ß-equilibrium phase. Intercrystalline corrosion of the AlMg9,56 wrought alloy is thus consistently due to the selective corrosion of grain boundary precipitates.
    Notes: Es wurde die interkristalline Korrosion einer 50% kaltgewalzten AlMg-9,56 Knetlegierung in 1 normaler Natriumchloridlösung in Abhängigkeit von der Wärmebehandlung untersucht. Von den durch die Wärmebehandlungen erzeugten Korngrenzenausscheidungen wurden elektronenmikroskopische Durchstrahlungsaufnahmen angefertigt. Für die Untersuchung der elektrochemischen Eigenschaften wurden die potentiostatische und die galvanostatische Meßmethode angewandt. Das Korrosionsverhalten einer heterogenen Legierung mit hohem Anteil an intermetallischer AlMg-ß-Gleichgewichtsphase wurde mit dem von wärmebehandelten Proben der Knetlegierung verglichen. Von der ß-Gleichgewichtsphase konnte eine Stromspannungskurve bestimmt werden. Es wurden Hinweise auf zwei verschiedene, vom Potential abhängige, geschwindigkeitsbestimmende Reaktionen sowohl für die Auflösung der ß-Gleichgewichtsphase als auch für die der Korngrenzenausscheidungen der wärmebehandelten Knetlegierung gefunden. Im Verlauf der Wärmebehandlung werden zwei verschiedene Ausscheidungsformen mit unterschiedlichem Korrosionsverhalten beobachtet. Nach kurzer Wärmebehandlungsdauer sind die Korngrenzen von einer kontinuierlichen Ausscheidung belegt, deren Zusammensetzung ungeklärt ist. Nach längerem Auslagern koaguliert diese Ausscheidung zu einzeln stehenden Globuliten aus intermetallischer ß-Gleichgewichtsphase. Die interkristalline Korrosion der AlMg-9,56 Knetlegierung wird immer durch die selektive Korrosion der gebildeten Korngrenzenausscheidungen hervorgerufen.
