Summary Runt disease which occurred after transfusion of C57BI bone marrow into supralethally (900r) irradiated A/Jax mice was delayed, in some cases suppressed by the application of rabbit anti-mouselymphocytic serum. Without antiserum survival time in this system was 15,6 days. A 6 days' treatment with antiserum of the donor mice increased the survival time to 27,8 days. Survival time after an additional treatment with antiserum from the 7th day after irradiation on for 3 weeks was 34,8 days. The heterologous bone marrow transfusion from rat into mouse was also favourably influenced by antilymphocytic serum.
Notes:
