Abstract:
Notes:
Summary On the basis of several istochemical and microchemical researches on the intraoranial tumours, the A. A. describe some peculiar metabolic characters related to the cellular lineage, to the speed of growth, to the degree of undifferentiation and to the degree of atypia. The undifferentiated neuroectodermic cells show a metabolic pattern differing in several respects from that of the atypical cells. It is thus possible to recognize two different metabolic schemata: one related to atypia, the other one to undifferentiation. The possible meaning of these findings in relation to the problem of cellular malignancy is discussed.
