Description: In this paper we revisit the a priori turbulent flame speed tabulation (TFST) technique for a given parameter space within the region of flamelet combustion-regimes. It can be used as a subgrid-scale (SGS) model in Large Eddy Simulation (LES). In a first step, stationary laminar flamelets are computed and stored over the progress variable following the ideas of flamelet generated manifolds (FGM). In a second step, the incompressible one-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations supplemented by the equation for the progress variable are solved on a grid that resolves all turbulent scales. Additionally, turbulent transport is implemented via the linear eddy model (LEM). The turbulent flame structures are solved until a statistically stationary mean value of the turbulent flame speed has been reached. The results are stored in a table that could be used by large scale premixed combustion models, e.g. front tracking schemes. First results are compared quantitatively with direct numerical simulations (DNS) taken from literature. Then it is illustrated in one example how the new method could help to fix constants in algebraic models for turbulent flame speeds. Further it is shown how the technique can be extended to incorporate turbulent strain effects. Finally we investigate the effect of the use of detailed and tabulated chemistry under unsteady conditions.

Description: A world-wide used program for the simulation of fire-induced flows is the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) which originally was developed for a purely serial execution on single-processor computing systems. Due to steadily increasing problem sizes and accuracy requirements as well as restrictions in storage capacity and computing power on single-processor systems, the efficient simulation of the considered fire scenarios can only be achieved on modern high-performance systems based on multi-processor architectures. The transition to those systems requires the elaborate parallelization of the underlying numerical methods which must guarantee the same result for a given problem as the corresponding serial execution. Unfortunately, one fundamental serial serial solver of FDS, the pressure solver, only possesses a low degree of inherent parallelizm. Its current parallelization may cause additional numerical errors, casually leading to significant losses of accuracy or even numerical instabilities. In order to ensure that the parallelization errors are limited by the leading error of the numerical scheme such that second order convergence for the whole method can be acchieved, optimized parallelization concepts must be designed. With respect to these considerations this articles gives an overview of the current parallel pressure solver as well as the problems related to it and presents an alternative method, SCARC, to overcome the existing complicacies. Part I explains the theory, concept and implementation of this new strategy, whereas Part II describes a series of validation and verification tests to proof its correctness.

Description: Because CFD programs, like FDS, generally consist of a large number of different components representing the variety of participating numerical algorithms and chemical / physical processes, it is nearly impossible to verify such codes in their entirety, for example with comparisons of fire tests. Instead, a careful verification and validation with respect to the underlying mathematical conditions and applied numerical schemes is indispensable. In particular, error cancelations between single program components can only be detected by such detailed component-level tests. In part I of this article series a conceptual deficiency of the FDS program package with regard to multi-mesh computations was illustrated and an alternative domain decomposition strategy FDS-ScaRC was introduced. In this second part we will present the structure of a comprehensive test concept and the needs for a more mathematically and numerically orientated test procedure that is much more suited for a reliable evaluation than only a simple visual comparison of the numerical results with experimental fire tests. After a general introduction of our test concept we will demonstrate the high potential of the new FDS-\scarc{} technique compared to the FDS-FFT technique which is used in the FDS program package as yet. Based on this concept, we will present a comprehensive set of analytical and numerical test results.

Description: The influence of thermal stratification on autoignition at constant volume and high pressure is investigated under turbulent conditions using the one-dimensional Linear-Eddy Model (LEM) and detailed hydrogen/air chemistry. Results are presented for the influence of initial temperature inhomogeneities on the heat release rate and the relative importance of diffusion and chemical reactions. The predicted heat release rates are compared with heat release rates of Chen et al. and Hawkes et al. obtained by two-dimensional Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS). Using the definition of Chen et al. for the displacement speed of the H2 mass fraction tracked at the location of maximum heat release, and a comparison of budget terms, different combustion modes including ignition front propagation and deflagration waves are identified and the results are compared to the DNS data. The LEM approach shows qualitatively and quantitatively reasonable agreement with the DNS data over the whole range of investigated temperature fluctuations. The results presented in this work suggest that LEM is a potential candidate as a sub-model for CFD calculations of HCCI engines.

Die Reaktion im sauren Medium führte mit o-Phenylendiamin zu 2,3-benzkondensierten bicyclischen Diazepiniumsalzen, die auch aus den Bis-Kondensationsprodukten der 2-Hydroxymethylencyclanone hergestellt werden konnten. Cyclisierungsversuche mit den Äthylendiaminderivaten schlugen fehl.

Notes: Ausgehend von o- und Novovanillin wurden einige Chalkone und Benzalacetone aus den n-Propyl- und n-Butyl-äthern dieser Verbindungen synthetisiert. Sie wurden bezüglich ihrer Additionsfähigkeit gegenüber Nitroparaffinen geprüft, wobei ein Mol des Chalkons bzw. substituierten Benzalacetons mit einem Mol Nitroparaffin reagierte. Es entstanden im Falle der Kondensation von 2,3-Dialkoxychalkonen 1-Phenyl-3-[2′,3′-dialkoxyphenyl]-4-nitroalkanone-(1), im Falle der 2-Alkoxy-3-methoxybenzalacetone 4-[2′-Alkoxy-3′-methoxyphenyl]-5-nitroalkanone-(2). Aus 2-Propoxy- und 2-Butoxy-3-äthoxybenzalaceton ließen sich mit Nitroparaffinen keine beständigen und eindeutigen Addukte gewinnen.

The red coloured chelate (λmax 470 mμ) has a composition 1:2 (metal: chelating agent). The chelate is stable between pH 2.5 and 4.5. The values of log K as calculated by two different methods are 7.2 ± 0.3 and 7.5 ± 0.2 at 25°C (pH 3.5 ± 0.2). Suggestions have also been made about the position of the chelate ring in the metal chelate.

Notes: 4,4′-Dihydroxydiphenylmethan, -sulfid, -sulfoxyd und -sulfon werden im alkalischen pH-Bereich der Formaldehydkondensation unterworfen. Die ermittelten Reaktivitäten dieser Verbindungen verhalten sich in der Reihenfolge -CH2-:-S-:-SO-:-SO2- wie 130:65:6,5:1. Der Einfluß von Substituenten auf die Kondensationsgeschwindigkeit wurde an Hand des nitro-, chlor-, carboxyl- und methylgruppensubstituierten 4,4′-Dihydroxy-diphenylsulfons untersucht. Durch papierchromatographische Untersuchung der zu verschiedenen Zeiten entnommenen Proben konnten Art und Bildungsgeschwindigkeit entstehender Methylolverbindungen ermittelt werden.

Notes: Die Konstitution der von uns aus 3-Alkoxypyrenen erhaltenen isomeren 3-Alkoxypyrenaldehyde wird weiterhin gesichert, so daß auch die 3,10-Alkoxyaldehyde klar definiert sind.Verschiedene Dialkoxypyrene werden beschrieben.Das Reaktionsvermögen der 3,8- und 3,10-Alkoxypyrenaldehyde wird durch Kondensation mit methylenaktiven Verbindungen studiert. In fast allen Fällen reagiert 1 Mol des Aldehyds mit 1 Mol der letzteren, bis auf die Umsetzung des 3,8-Propoxypyrenaldehyds mit Acetessigester, bei welcher sich die Bis-acetessigesterverbindung bildete.

Notes: The reactions of aluminium isopropoxide and aluminium chloride with salicylic, mandelic and lactic acids in different stoichiometric ratios have been studied under absolutely anhydrous conditions. Mandelic and lactic acids were found to give tri-derivatives, whereas the salicylic acid gave only di-salicylate when the ratios of alkoxide and the acid was 1:3 (or slightly higher) or an equimolecular mixture of di-and tri-salicylate when the ratio was increased to 1:3.4 (or 3.4).

Notes: Unter Hinweis auf die Bedeutung der Säulenchromatographie für die Differenzierung von Gemischen aus strukturell nahe verwandten Verbindungen werden ausgewählte Materialien (Kieselgel, einheimisches Kieselgur, Aerosil, Ton, Seesand, Glaspulver, Aluminium-oxyd, lepidoide Kieselsäure) auf ihre Eignung als säulenchromatographisches Filterhilfsmittel bei der Trennung von Saccharidgemischen an Aktivkohle überprüft. Für diese Zwecke ist lediglich die lepidoide Kieselsäure geeignet. Trotz ihrer relativ großen inneren Oberfläche treten unerwünschte Adsorptivkräfte gegenüber Sacchariden bzw. beeinträchtigende Auswirkungen auf das Adsorptionsvermögen der Kohle nicht in Erscheinung. Die lepidoide Kieselsäure kann daher im Austausch mit dem bisher fast ausschließlich verwendeten Celite bei der Säulenchromatographie an Aktivkohle eingesetzt werden.

Notes: The composition and stability of the chelate formed between uranyl ion (II) and 1 (o-arsonophenylazo) 2 naphthol 3:6 disulphonate (Thoron) have been investigated using spectrophotometric method. The chelate is red in colour and has λmax at 510mμ. The composition as determined by different methods is 1:1. The chelate is stable between pH 2.5 and 5.0. The values of log K as determined by two different methods are 4.2 ± 0.25 and 4.54 ± 0.15 respectively at pH 3.0 and at 25°.

Die 2-(p-Methoxy-phenyl)-4-alkyl-thiosemicarbazide lassen sich durch Erhitzen über den Schmelzpunkt in die isomeren 1,4-disubstituierten Thiosemicarbazide umlagern. Diese werden durch p-Benzochinon zu den p-Alkoxy-phenylazo-thioformamiden dehydriert.

Notes: Relative Reaktivitäten substituierter Methane, Äthane und Toluole (Benzylverbindungen) bei der H-Abspaltung durch tert.-Butoxyradikale werden bestimmt. Im wesentlichen bedingen Konjugations- und polare Effekte der Substituenten die Reaktionsfähigkeit der genannten Verbindungen. Die Logarithmen der Reaktivitätswerte sind den Hammettschen σp-Konstanten der Substituenten proportional, im Verhältnis zum Wasserstoff erhöhen jedoch alle Substituenten unabhängig von ihrer Polarität die Reaktionsfähigkeit. Die Reaktionskonstante σ beträgt -2,0 für Methylverbindungen, -1,9 für Äthylverbindungen und -0,5 für Benzylderivate.

Triphenyl-, Tri-(o-kresyl)-, Trixylenyl- und Monophenyl-di-(2-äthylhexyl)-phosphit sowie Dialkylphosphite lassen sich unter den angewandten Versuchsbedingungen nicht autoxydieren.

Notes: Es wird die katalytische Aktivität von Chelaten Schiffscher Basen des Salizylaldehyds und des 2-Amino-benzaldehyds mitgeteilt. Untersucht wurde die Zersetzung von H2O2 durch Co2+-Chelate. Co2+ wird verglichen mit dem Saliziylaldehydäthylendiimin durch 2-Aminobenzaldehydäthylendiimin weiter stark aktiviert. Die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeitskonstanten sowie die Aktivierungsenergien der Reaktion werden ermittelt.

Notes: Es wird die Darstellung von 1-Methyl-4-nitro-5-alkylamino-imidazolen beschrieben. Ihre katalytische Hydrierung und die des 1-Methyl-4-nitro-5-amino-imidazols führt zu unbeständigen Diaminen, deren Isolierung und Cyclisierung mißlangen. Acetylierungsreaktionen des Nitramins ergaben nur das N-Diacetylderivat. Die Nitro-alkylamino-Verbindungen lassen sich glatt formylieren und acetylieren. Durch Hydrierung entstehen daraus stabile Acylderivate des 4,5-Diamino-imidazols. Ihre Cyclisierung zum Imidazo[d]imidazolgerüst gelang nicht.

Notes: Von fünf α-Ketocarbonsäuren wurden durch Reaktion mit N, N-Bis-(β-chloräthyl)-hydrazin die entsprechenden Hydrazone erhalten. Die Hydrazone der Brenztraubensäure, α-Ketobuttersäure und α-Ketovaleriansäure ließen sich mit PtO2/H2 zu den α-[N, N-Bis-(β-chloräthyl)-hydrazino]-carbonsäuren hydrieren. Bie den Hydrazonen der Glyoxylsäure und phenylglyoxylsäure gelang die Hydrierung nicht.

Die Absorptionen werden weitgehend den Schwingungen der einzelnen funktionellen Gruppen zugeordnet. Die IR-Spektren der razemischen und optisch aktiven Formen stimmen beim Carnitinäthylester und Acetylcarnitinnitril überein, bei den Carnitinnitriltetrachloroauraten treten nur geringe Unterschiede auf, während sich die Spektren des razemischen und des (+)- bzw. (-)-Acetylcarnitins sehr deutlich voneinander unterscheiden.

Notes: Es wurden die Gleichgewichte zwischen Flüssigkeit und Dampf des Systems Methanol-Dimethylformamid (DMFA) isobar bei 130, 250, 400, 550 und 760 Torr in einer Umlaufapparatur gemessen. Aus einer Anwendung des Konsistenzkriteriums von Redlich und Kister auf die Messungen bei 130 Torr ergab sich eine Mischungsenthalpie von - 63J mol-1. Über ein Näherungsverfahren wurden für isotherme Schnitte die Konstanten des Ansatzes von Redlich-Kister berechnet. Die Meßwerte konnten damit innerhalb eines Fehlers von ± 3% rückwärts berechnet werden. Die thermodynamischen Excessfunktionen wiesen auf stärkere zwischenmolekulare Wechselwirkungen (ΔGE〈0,δHM〈0) und kooperative Orientierung hin (ΔSE〉 0).

Notes: Die Autoxydation der tricyclischen Systeme Cyclopent-[c.d]-indan (I) und Cyclohept-[c.d]-indan (II) wurde untersucht. Nur Cyclohept-[c.d]-indanyl-hydroperoxyd (IV) gibt mit p-Nitrobenzoesäure einen Perester, der bei Criegee-Umlagerung in den Lactolester (XIII) übergeht. Der Lactolester XIII gibt bei Verseifung das Halbketal XV, das alkalisch zum 10-Ringsystem des Ketophenols XV a isomerisiert.Der Vergleich mit den bereits in der Literatur mitgeteilten Ergebnissen am Tetraphthen und Hexahydrophenalin zeigt in Übereinstimmung mit Modellvorstellungen, daß der Einschub des Sauerstoffs als „transannulare“ Brücke (wie ihn die Bildung der Lactol aus den Persäureestern erfordert) eines 9- und 10-Ringsystems möglich ist, den aber beim 8-gliedrigen Ringsystem (aus I) sterische Gründe verhindern. Die Isomerisierung der Lactolformen zu Ketophenolen gelingt, ebenfalls sterisch bedingt, nur, falls die Ausgangsverbindungen die Bildung eines zum Hydroxyl peripheren Ringes mit mindestens 10 C-Atomen gestatten.

Notes: Ausgehend von 2-Mercaptothiazolen und imidazolen und aromatischen bzw. aliphatischen Sulfenylchloriden wurde eine Reihe unsymmetrischer Disulfide hergestellt. Die eingesetzten Ausgangsprodukte zeichnen sich durch deutliche Unterschiede in der Reaktionsfreudigkeit aus. Ein Teil der erhaltenen Disulfide wurde, zwecks näherer Charakterisierung, der Dünnschichtchromatographie unterworfen. Es wurden einige Zusammenhänge zwischen der Konstitution der Verbindungen und deren Rf-Werten aufgezeigt.

Notes: Es wurden Versuche zur Trennung der Ionen des Kaliums, Rubidiums und Caesiums mit Hilfe von Flußsäure als Elutionsmittel durchgeführt. Als Ionenaustauscherharz diente Wofatit KPS in der 16% vernetzten Form. Die Versuche wurden mit Säulen aus Polyäthylen durchgeführt, die eine Länge von 50 cm und einen Durchmesser von 1 cm besaßen. Im Eluat erschienen nacheinander Kalium, Rubidium und Caesium. Dabei konnte das Kalium vollständig vom Caesium getrennt werden, während die Trennungen Kalium/Rubidium und Rubidium/Caesium noch nicht quantitativ erfolgten. Es wird versucht, die erhaltenen Ergebnisse auf einfache Art zu deuten.

Notes: Die Umsetzung von Triarylsilanen mit Allylbromid in Gegenwart von AlCl3 gestattet es, die entsprechenden Triarylbromsilane in guten Ausbeuten zu erhalten. Erstmalig wurden dargestellt: Tris(p-fluorphenyl)bromsilan, Tris(p-chlorphenyl)bromsilan und Tritolylbromsilan.Aus dem bisher noch unbekannten Tris(p-bromphenyl)silan wurde durch Bromierung in CCl4 das Tris(p-bromphenyl)bromsilan erhalten. In Gegenwart von Katalysatoren wird Allylbromid von Triorganosilanen zu Triorgano-3-brompropylsilanen addiert. Es werden einige typische Reaktionen mit diesen Verbindungen beschrieben.Beim Umsatz von Triarylsilanen mit Vinyl- und Allylhalogeniden bei Temperaturen von 580-640° erhält man Triarylalkenylsilane und Triarylhalogensilane. Einige neue Silane und zwar Tritolylallylsilan, Tris(p-chlorphenyl)allylsilan und Tris(p-chlorphenyl)-vinylsilan wurden isoliert.Von den Triarylsilanen und einigen anderen hocharylierten Silanen wurden die IR-Spektren aufgenommen und aus der SiH-Valenzschwingung die Elektronegativität der Silylgruppe und die Kraftkonstante der SiH-Bindung annähernd berechnet.

Notes: Die Analyse hochmolekularer Produkte der Erdölverarbeitung erfordert wegen des komplexen Charakters dieser Produkte einen großen Aufwand an Trennleistung und -güte. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird die intensive Zerlegung der bei der chromatographischen Gruppentrennung eines Phenolextraktes aus Neutralöl I (Tuimasa) erhaltenen KW -stoffgruppen beschrieben. Über die Gewinnung des Ausgangsproduktes und dessen chromatographische Gruppentrennung sowie über die angewendeten Methoden der Strukturgruppenanalyse wurde bereits berichtet.

Notes: Zur Analyse von Mono-, Di- und Cycloolefinen, wie sie in technischen C6-Kohlenwasserstoff-Fraktionen vorliegen, wurde eine Kombination von Feindestillation und Gaschromatographie benutzt. Als wesentliches Hilfsmittel erwies sich die Hydrierung der Proben unter gaschromatographischen Bedingungen. Eine Anzahl von Flüssigphasen unterschiedlicher Polarität wurde hinsichtlich ihrer Trenneigenschaften untersucht. Die Retentionsvolumina der interessierenden Kohlenwasserstoffe sind angegeben.

Notes: Die Synthese einiger am Stickstoff durch Aryl und Heteroaryl substituierter Propansultame-(1, 3) wird beschrieben, ebenso eine verbesserte Darstellung des nichtsubstituierten Propansultams-(1, 34). Es folgt die Beschreibung einiger am Stickstoff durch Heteroaryl substituierter Butansultame-(1, 4). Der Umsatz von Hydrazin und Phenyl-hydrazin mit Chlorpropansulfochlorid und Chlorbutansulfochlorid führt zu verschiedenen Sulfonamiden. Das Chlorpropansulfonsäure-phenylhydrazid konnte in ein Pyridazinderivat übergeführt werden.

Notes: Es wurde das System Natriumnitrit-Phosphoroxychlorid untersucht, um die neben Nitrosylchlorid entstehenden Reaktionsprodukte zu bestimmen. Dabei konnte entgegen früherer Darstellung kein NO gefunden werden. Die Reaktionsprodukte, die mittels gravimetrischer Analyse, stöchiometrischer Berechnung, der Destillation der gasförmigen Produkte und der röntgenographischen Untersuchung des festen Rückstandes bestimmt worden sind, bestätigen den durch Gleichung (1) dargestellten Reaktionsablauf: Das Infrarotspektrum eines CCl4-Eluats des festen Rückstandes zeigt, daß keine POCl3-Additionsprodukte enthalten sind.

Es wurde gefunden, daß die Verbindung aus 1,1,2-Trifluor-2-chlor-dibromäthan (II) über 1,1,1-Trifluor-chlor-dibromäthan (III) dargestellt werden kann. Dessen Reduktion zu (I) gelingt mit einer wäßrigen alkalischen Lösung von Natriumsulfit in hoher Ausbeute.

Notes: Conductometric and pH studies of the mixed solutions of Cobalt nitrate and sodium mandelate reveal the existence of three complexes in the ratios of (1:1), (1:2) and (1:3). Two compounds having ratios (1:2) and (1:3) were isolated in pure state and their constitutions established by estimation of Cobalt and mandelic acid contents. pH titration of isolated compound (1:3) with alkali consumes four equivalents of alkali which indicates that an anionic type of compound is formed.

Notes: The interaction between sodium succinate and thorium chloride solutions in presence of glucose solutions of suitable concentrations has been investigated adopting conductometric and potentiometric titration methods. The experimental data shows the formation of the normal disuccinate, Th (C4H4O4)2, near about the point of equivalence, where the ratio of metal : succinate is nearly 1:2. In the absence of glucose solutions a highly unstable colloidal solution is obtained. Addition of peptiser viz., glucose, increases the stability and the rapid precipitation of the dispersed phase is controlled in a manner as to give stable and transparent gels. The conductometric and potentiometric titration curves are explained.

Notes: The formation of a red coloured chelate (λmax 455 mμ) between ammonium vanadate and sodium alizarin-3-sulphonate has been taken advantage of, in the colorimetric determination of pentavalent vanadium on a micro-scale. The colour formation is instantaneous and the colour intensity is constant between 5°C and 70°C and pH 3.5 and 5.8. The system adheres to BEERS Law over a range of 0.10 to 3.67 p. p. m. of vanadium. The sensitivity is 0.051 γ/cm2 (Sandell) and 0.51 γcm2 (Practical) Copper, beryllium, bismuth, iron, aluminum, cerium, uranium, thorium, tungsten, molybdenum, carbonate, borate, citrate, and tartrate interfere in the determination.

Notes: Es wird über die Herstellung von Alkylbenzolen mit insgesamt 14 C-Atomen in den Seitenketten berichtet. Sie umfassen 3 Gruppen, nämlich die (1-7)-Phenyl-n-tetradecane, (2-7)-Benzyl-n-tridecane und die theoretisch möglichen p-Di-n-alkylbenzole.Die (2-7)-Phenyltetradecane wurden durch Umsetzung des jeweils passenden n-Alkyl-phenylketons mit der entsprechenden Grignard-Verbindung zum Carbinol, Dehydratisierung dieses mit Phosphorsäure und katalytische Hydrierung des dabei entstehenden Gemisches bindungsisomerer Olefine hergestellt. Das 1-Phenyltetradecan ließ sich sowohl durch Reduktion des n-Tridecyl-phenylketons nach dem Verfahren von Huang-Minlon als auch durch Wurtz-Fittig-Synthese gewinnen.Die (2-7)-Benzyltridecane waren aus den entsprechenden ωω-Dialkylacetophenonen durch katalytische Hydrierung zu den Carbinolen, Wasserabspaltung und erneute Hydrierung zugänglich. Für die Herstellung der Dialkylacetophenone wurden zwei unabhängige Synthesewege beschritten.Die p-Di-n-alkylbenzole konnten durch Reduktion der verschiedenen n-Alkyl-(p-n-alkylphenyl)-ketone nach Huang-Minlon und diese Ketone durch Friedel-Crafts-Acylierung der n-Alkylbenzole mit dem entsprechenden Säurechlorid hergestellt werden.

Notes: Die katalytische Wirkung von Kobalt-5-Sulfo-salicylaldehyd-äthylendiimin auf die Ascorbinsäureoxydation wird untersucht und mit der Wirkung des Eisenchelates der Äthylendiamintetraessigsäure verglichen. Die beiden Chelate unterscheiden sich in der Fähigkeit, Aromaten in Gegen wart von Ascorbinsäure zu hydroxylieren und in der Größe der bei der Ascorbinsäureoxydation auftretenden CO2-Entwicklung.

Notes: Einem aus getrockneten Blättern von Digitalis canariensis L. bereiteten wässerigen Extrakt liessen sich die Glykoside praktisch vollständig durch Ausschütteln mit Chloroform-Alkohol-(4:1) entziehen. Da keine Kristalle aus dem so erhaltenen Glykosidgemisch gewonnen werden konnten, wurde dieses dem partiellen Abbau mit Strophanthobiase zur Monosidstufe unterworfen, wobei 2/5 unverändert blieben. Das Gemisch der Monoside bestand zu etwa 15% aus freien Geninen.

Notes: Im 3α-Acetoxy-12α-brom-ll, 20-dioxo-5β-pregnan (IV) wurde die Seitenkette mit NaOBr zur Ätiansäure VIII abgebaut. Der Methylester IX dieser Säure lieferte die Tosyloxyverbindung XIV, welche mit K-Acetat in Eisessig-Dimethylformamid ein komplexes Gemisch lieferte, aus dem durch Chromatographie an A12O3, XII, XIII, XV, XX und XXI erhalten werden konnten. Die Konstitution von XX bzw. XXI wurde auf folgendem Wege sichergestellt: XII gab durch Reduktion mit NaBH4 in Wasser-t-Rutanol das Epoxid XVI, das durch Acetylierung XVII lieferte. Be-handlung von XVI oder XVII rnit Trichloressigsäure und anschliessende alkalische Verseifung und Remethylierung lieferte den Trihydroxyester XVIII, der nach partieller Acetylierung und Dehydrierung den Ketolester XXI gab. Durch eine analoge Reaktionsfolge wurde aus IX die Oxido-Verbindung XI hergestellt, die nach Öffnung mit Trichloressigsäure und alkalischer Verseifung II lieferte. Partielle Acetylierung zu III und Dehydrierung lieferten den isomeren Ketolester I.
