Antimon(III) Compounds with SbFnOm Coordination Spheres. Crystal Structures of K(SbF2)HAsO4, NH4(SbF2)HAsO4, and Sb3O2F5K(SbF2)HAsO4 and NH4(SbF2)HAsO4 were prepared from SbF3 and dihydrogen arsenates in aequous solutions. Their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. (K(SbF2)HAsO4: a = 726.5(2), b = 726.1(3), c = 1107.3(5) pm, β = 101.1(1)°, Z = 4, space group P21/c, 1160 reflections, 82 parameters, R = 0.022. NH4(SbF2)HAsO4: a = 731.9(1), b = 734.7(1), c = 1128.8(2) pm, β = 100.2(1)°, Z = 4, space group P21/c, 1254 reflections, 82 parameters, R = 0.045). The isostructural compounds contain SbF2+ groups to which three oxygen atoms of different HAsO42- ions are coordinated, resulting in a complicated layer structure. Two Sb—O bonds are shorter tahn 220 pm. The SbIII coordination is pseudo-octahedral with a stereochemically active lone pair. Sb3O2F5 (a = 1315.5(9), b = 592.7(3), c = 902.3(5) pm, β = 107.7(5)°, Z = 4, space group P2/c, 1427 reflections, 92 parameters, R = 0.029) is formed by hydrolysis of SbF3. It displays also a layer structure, with 4 differently pseudo-trigonal bipyramidally coordinated SbIII atoms. The stereochemistry of the title compounds and of related substances with SbOnFm coordination spheres are compared.
Notes:
(K(SbF2)HAsO4: a = 726,5(2), b = 726,1(3), c = 1107,3(5) pm, β = 101,1(1)°, Z = 4, Raumgruppe P21/c, 1160 Reflexe, 82 Parameter; NH4(SbF2)HAsO4: a = 731,9(1), b = 734,7(1), c = 1128,8(2) pm, β = 100,2(1)°, Z = 4, Raumgruppe P21/c, 1254 Reflexe, 82 Parameter).
