Investigations on Diazo Compounds and Azides, XXVI1) Aldol Addition of Phosphoryldiazoalkanes - Synthesis and Reactivity of α-Diazo-β-hydroxyphosphinoxides and -Phosphonic esters(Diazomethyl)diphenylphosphinoxide (1) and dimethyl diazomethylphosphonate (2) add to aldehydes in an aldol-like manner to form the diazo compounds 3a-x. The corresponding reaction of phenylglyoxal with 1 leads to the 1,4-dioxan derivative 5, which is cleaved in acidic medium to give two molecules of 4. The decomposition of the diazoaldols 3d, e, h, n, s and w by hydrogen chloride in ether leads to (2-hydroxyvinyl)diphenylphosphinoxides 7b-g via formation of carbenium ions (6b-g) and R-migration. In the case of the photolysis and the copper(II)-acethylacetonate catalyzed thermolysis of some diazoaldols (3d, e, h, n, s and w in the thermolysis), R- and hydride migration compete with each other to form 7 and 9b-f, g, respectively, the latter always predominating. The boron trifluoride-catalyzed decomposition, on the other hand, transforms the diazoaldols 3a, d, e, h, n, s, t, w and x in a several-step reaction into ethinyldiphenylphosphinoxides (11a-i).
Notizen:
